there's like videos about bbq and more bbq and fried pies and mutton but they won't load for me! oh great, now the whole page won't load.

hopefully they'll be back up soon. i read about the southern food alliance and their series of documentaries created by joe york in the latest issue of gastronomica. kim got me a subscription to it, which is awesome.

i wanted to kick back tonight, watch some videos about food, and eat some yummy steamed buns.

week long pinhole exposure on rivera street, san francisco

over a week of exposing.

woke up 2:30 am monday to yelling and stomping from the neighbors upstairs. they'd been extra noisy all night, and i had been throwing a lacrosse ball at the ceiling to shut them up. it seemed like they we're getting worse, and then there was a knock at the door and i heard my roommates moving around a lot. i went out in the living room and all the lights were on, marty said "a drunk driver crashed into jeff's car." i got dressed and went outside.

my first solargraph. 2 day long exposure.
i've set up more pinhole cameras around town to catch at least a month's worth of sun travel.

(it's not a target label, it's what salvation army uses for their collectibles.)

we went out to the harvest fair. all photos shot with my 40 year old manual (no auto focus, no light meter) lens.

we were walking down valencia and i saw this bike and took its picture because it's a scraper bike, right?


then, after eating, i spotted the bike with its rider intact.


as we walked by him in the intersection i snapped this photo.

i swear i took this picture from the hip. i had my manual lens, and i held the camera in my hand down at my side, just walking by. he had no idea i was taking his picture. i bumped milisa out of the way while i shot this.
i cropped it to make it level.
